RP Logistics Oy has purchased two electric port machines from Mantsinen Group. One of the machines unloaded the first roundwood cargo at the beginning of the week, and the other will be put into operation next week.
The new electrically powered harbor cranes make material handling more productive and ecological. The machines increase operational reliability and significantly cut CO2 emissions.
The investment is a significant step towards the company’s goal of emission-free port logistics. RP Group’s CO2 emissions will decrease by approximately 700 – 800 tons, i.e. 700 – 800,000 kilograms annually.
The company continues to make climate-friendly investments without prejudice. RP Group wants to contribute to the green transition of port logistics in Finland.
